We - 2 married couples - went to the Osteria Il Retrovo in Gronsdorf for dinner today, not for the first time, but definitely for the last time. We had ordered a table for 6:00 p.m., were there shortly afterwards and were already received in an unfriendly manner by the boss, it was not clear whether we were too early or too late. In any case, we were the first guests on the terrace. We then ordered wine, starters, main courses, the usual. The wine came quickly and was also quite good. Shortly afterwards all 4 starters and 4 main courses came together, the boss said that screwed up the kitchen. Well, it can happen. The table was then full of plates. After that we were ignored for more than 1 hour, several hand signals from us were simply overlooked. Meanwhile, the boss and boss talked extensively with the guests at the only two other occupied tables, After we asked for the bill, it took a long time again for the boss to come to the table. He didn't know who had ordered what, well, we could help him with that. When we asked if he was not satisfied with our order, he shrugged his shoulders blankly. We then told him that in any case we were not satisfied with the service. We then explained to him the reason for our dissatisfaction, whereupon he said in turn that he (the boss!?) Couldn't help it and that he had offered us to let the main course go back to the kitchen. Perhaps that would have been a good idea, a look around and it was clear: a lie, a purely protective claim. We then gave him our opinion about this behavior and the poor service, to which the answer came that we didn't need to turn up here. What he can rely on.

Unfortunately, the fact that you are a Lockal does not justify that a dessert is not a dish and I think that 2 desserts, 2 or more glasses of wine and 1 milk coffee and 1 cappuccino are definitely more expensive than someone who orders water and a salad . So my question how do you know how much money we would have left there? It was also about 1 hour before the end and I also think that hardly anyone would have come to eat. Apart from that only 3 couples were sitting on your terrace and there was enough space. But everyone as he wants, unfortunately you have lost customers and recommendations as well. Unfortunately, the way you say it says a lot. Everything could have been going more smoothly. I only say SHADE and it looks very pretty from the outside of your cookie. Yes you are right and exactly in this difficult time you should not necessarily do selection procedures and be nice or accommodating, I think that is more value.

We wanted to have a nice evening when we entered the terrace and asked if we could order a coffee and dessert. Was this returned to us with an undercooled, arrogant response that this was a eatery and they didn't offer it? I've never been treated like this by a service provider in my life. This is called discrimination. This restaurant did not even deserve a star. This is not how you deal with guests.

We are always enthusiastic about the excellent pizza, the fresh tasty salads and the friendly owners. 🥗🍕👍

Solid food, nothing more. Can not quite understand the reviews regarding friendly staff / owner (?). We did not feel welcome at all. Reception and service was very cold. Went to my girlfriend as well. The food is good, to emphasize is the greeting from the kitchen in advance. There are not many restaurants in the area but I will not go again.

Great place to eat good Italian food, today on the menu there were homemade tagliolini served with abundant black truffle, a marvel. Very good dessert and excellent coffee. Thank you!

Great pizza and the pasta was also decent

Very authentic ambience, also very cozy in the front yard. On warm summer evenings you feel like you're in the country in Italy. Stepping outside after a meal is like a holiday due to the little traffic on the street and the field opposite. The food is truly excellent and the waitresses are both friendly and extremely capable. Top rating!
